Happy April Fool's Day! I am getting over a brutal cold that has kept me inside for two weeks and has rendered my alcohol intake to zero. I finally can start having a few drinks again...yeah! Definitely not an alkie but I like to get my drink on after a hard day at work. Ok enough of that.. I am just happy to simply feel better. Oh and I haven't really been using my sewing machine to create anything new except my piece for the medex show because my machine totally busted. But I just bought a refurbished 1960's singer, so I should be cracking things out right and left. Whoohoo! New Bags are coming soon!!!
Ok Two things that I want to blog about:
Number one is: Brand new pendants that I have been working on for a while that I finally have finished. They required a lot more explanation since they are based on Chinese Astrology! So it took me a while to upload them into my website. But check them out. I hope you like them!


Number two is: tsai-fi is going to be vending in San Francisco for the first time ever. I am going to be at Bazaar Bizarre in San Francisco on May 19 and 20th. Don't forget to mark your calendars!!!! Yeah! This will kick off a bunch of summer festivals!

I finally finished an acrylic painting that I have been working on. It is the first in a series of 4. The series is called Lolitas love dust bunnis. The first one is called Sweet Sailor . This painting is 16" x 20" But the next three will be 9" X 12" It was such a blast to do. I can't wait to start on the next ones. I am going to do 9" x 12" prints eventually based on these paintings.

It has been a necklace rampage in my little workspace. Check out my little pretty pendants.
Each necklace is unique because it is completely handpainted. The pendants are a super cute depiction of original artwork by tsai-fi. Each wooden cameo is painted with acrylic paint and given a gloss coat to protect the artwork. I have been crazy with painting recently. I will be posting a brand new acrylic painting this week from a series of four called Lolitas love Dust Bunnis.

Spring is coming in three days..and I have definitely been getting excited. I love the spring summer way too much....So as you are thinking about all of those new dresses that you are gonna rock this summer, keep these little necklaces on your mind. Two more new collections are coming in the next few weeks.Keep your eyes open because I guarantee you are going to want something from one of the three summer collections.

Finally finished my contribution to the March Medical Experiments Art Show at the Push Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of my contribution is Experiment A -Two Tailed Brain Swap - "Meowsy and Squeaksta" Since their brains were swapped, the Kitty loves cheese and the mousy now loves fish. The Kitty has two posable tails and the mousy has two tails too!

Chillin' on a cold California night. Ok, its 63 degrees but it feels chilly to me. I just wanted to post my new little pocket mirrors. They are 2.25" with various illustrations on them. Check them Out! ...and stay warm..

Just wanted to rave about a little press from a cool new Italian mag called Velvet! My Dear Hunter was included amongst a bunch of really awesome other artists in an article by Roberto Croci. Check it out!

Ummm.. I am wigging out because Esthero one of my favorite musical artists in the whole wide world just blogged about tsai-fi on her myspace page. Slap me because I am about to pass th f*ck out!

Ahh, I am so ready for my Christmas vacation. I have finished with most of my holiday shopping and I am getting ready to fly home for a week of stuffing my face with delicious holiday grub and relaxing. The Felt Club XL was a very successful event. There was a line to get into the venue before it opened and it was good insanity for the first 3 hours. I had a great time and I can't wait until the next Felt Club event. There are pics below.
A few of my plushies were shown at the Gallery Revisited "That Show". There is tons of cute stuff that is still available. If you live in the Los Angeles area, you should definitely check it out. I included a few pics below.

Ahh, now that I am stuffed with delightful turkiness. I have decided to do a little updating.

As promised- even though I am supposed to get things ready for tommorow's Felt Club. I wanted to share my November update with all of my LJ friends! And yes i was inspired by the Free People Catalog.........

So I have been busting my tail on some wholesale orders- Three to be exact. They are pretty much finished. Whew - now I am working like a mad woman on stuff for this weekend's show Felt Club from 11-6 on Sunday at the Echo. Stop by -if you are an Angeleno- There are great artists this month!

Just got back from the Crafty Bastards Show in D.C. So much fun! Thanks to the Washington DC City Paper for putting on an amazing Show. There was a Burlesque act, b-boys, fun bands and a continious huge crowd that constantly packed our tent. Cherry Box and I had a sweet time. Pics posted later this week. But until then I wanted to share the new collection with everyone. What is black and white and Red all over??? The Dust Bunni Red Collection that's what. Check it out under the cut. Who are those dorky cutie pies in the sky??? They are the Nerdy Birdy Crew thats whooooo! Inspired by all of the geeks in the world, please allow me to introduce this flock of hip tweeters..hee-hee. This is a playful stab at people who like things that others might consider a little dorky. And yes, I definitely would include myself as inspiration for this new brand of plushies. I love some things that would definitely be considered nerdy to some. An examplewould include watching Fantasy movies....umm......and being there on opening night so I can be the first to see the flick out of all my friends. Each Nerdy Birdy has a unique pair of glasses complete with coke bottle lenses that magnify their eyes so they look huge. Cheers to the nerd in all of us and make sure to check out my Nerdy Birdies! Felt Club was a ton of fun! There was a really good turn out especailly since it was a first time event and a lot of super talented vendors. Check below for a pic of my little booth.
